The original intention and the final aim of science education is ‘helping students prepare for future life’.As one of the important teaching contents,the context plays an important role in stimulating students ’learning motivation,promoting knowledge construction,developing students’ problem solving ability and realizing textbook knowledge and life docking smoothly.At the same time,contextal teaching cover the shortage of traditional teaching methods.Thus,creating a teaching context that is reasonable and in line with the students’ cognitive is an effective strategy to achieve the science curriculum reform and classroom teaching innovation.The creation of teaching context depends on the extensive collection,detailed screening and sophisticated design of context materials.However,the status quo of science education,there is no mature context classification method,a complete context development strategy to guide the development of the context materials.There is a lack of reference materials in the existing science textbook.The use of context materials is only based on the experience and judgment of first-line teachers.If things continue this way,it will inevitably affect the development of students’ scientific literacy.This topic is a new thought which integrates the weakness(Junior middle school science context materials)in domestic science education and the hot spot(PISA test and its concept)of international education assessment.Based on constructivism theory,contextal cognition and learning theory,this paper combines the PISA context peculiarity,summarizes the characteristics of the effective context.Then,adopts method of interview investigation and study,surveys the selection and design of the materials of the textbooks,in view of the characteristics of scientific disciplines and junior middle school students’ mental development,clarify the current problems of the context in the matter of content selection,presentation and ability training.Draw lessons from the concept of PISA,and propose seven strategies to create an effective context,and take these as the standards for the development of context materials,the preparation of corresponding cases.As a kind of exploratory study,the author is hopeful that,on the one hand,with the analysis of textbooks,can provide the feasible suggestions and strategies for the use of the materials of the textbook and the development of the context materials.On the other hand,with the development of the context materials case,give advice and suggestions for the preparation of textbook with contextal characteristics.
