With the deeply development of Curriculum reform of special education in China,the School-based curriculum development has become magnet in schools for intellectual disability.Special education schools from different areas in our country started to develop the School-based curriculum and have made great progress.As a fallen-behind area of special education,Xinjiang province has demonstrated a confusing situation in the using of teaching materials for special education.A series of problems has emerged because of the limited content,unsuitable resources,the difference in teaching notions,economy development and the difference of social conditions.The development of special education in Xinjiang must be paid with great significance,it's of great significance to promote intellectual disability education healthy functioning.By carding theories of the schools for intellectual disability to investigate,with questionnaires and interviews,we investigated eleven special education schools which aimed at education for intellectual disability in order to find out the current situation of School-based curriculum development in schools for intellectual disability,and figure out the problems in development,and after discussed the reason of it we can put forward some strategic solutions.The paper is divided into 6 chapters as follows:Chapter 1: Introduction.To illustrate the source and basis of the paper and put forward the goal and significance,thinking and methods,key points and difficult points,main viewpoints and innovation of the paper.Chapter 2: Definition of related notions and summarize.To define “Intellectual disabilities” and “School-based curriculum development”,and introduce the domestic and overseas research status.Chapter 3: The summarize of School-based curriculum development in Schools for intellectual disability.To card the theories related to School-based curriculum development for intellectual disability.Chapter 4: Investigation of current situation and results analysis about School-based curriculum development for intellectual disability in Xinjiang province.To investigate the condition of it,the main factors and developed School-based curriculum and analysis the results.Chapter 5: The effects,the existing problems and analysis of causes to School-based curriculum development aimed at special education in Xinjiang.To discuss the limited condition according to the successful experience based on the results of research,and existing problems is :(1)Relevant departments have less attention on it,the south and the north of xinjiang have large differences on condition;(2)School management have a lot of problems,school have no character;(3)Teacher have no ability and enthusiasm about it;(4)Be sort of supporting,all parties have no cooperation;(5)Lack of curriculum resources,curriculum are not scientific.Find out main factors of School-based curriculum development for intellectual disability in Xinjiang and analysis the causes.Chapter 6: The strategy of School-based curriculum development.To put forward the strategy of overall planning,supervision at a date,leading and organization,canonical management,strengthen cultivation,improvement of study,fighting for support,multiple cooperation,scientific and canonical,improve curriculum facing the problems in development of it.
