Since the mid-20 th century,Group Cooperative Learning has been the focus of many researchers.As an important part of English language learning activity,Group Cooperative Learning can improve the students? language communication ability and cultivate the cooperative spirit of students.However,many teachers can?t realize it completely about the importance and function of Group Cooperative Learning.Therefore,the author researches Group Cooperative Learning activities in High-Quality English Classes of Junior High Schools with the help of the classroom observation,and tries to find and analyze the advantages of Group Cooperative Learning activities in the class,and then proposes some feasible suggestions for the normal course of English teaching.It not only has a certain theoretical value,but also has important practical significance.This study regards the 20 teachers? teaching video of the Eleventh National Junior High Schools English Teaching Demonstration Classes as the research sample,regards the students and teachers as the observation dimension,regards students? learning and teachers? teaching as the perspective of observation,regards the Pre-Group Cooperative Learning activities(the teachers? instruction words,the teachers? guidance forms and students? preparatory activities types),While-Group Cooperative Learning activities(the types of Group Cooperative Learning activities,the learning objectives of Group Cooperative Learning activities,the time distribution of Cooperative Learning activities,the degree of participation of Group Cooperative Learning activities,the teacher's roles in Group Cooperative Learning activities)and Post-Group Cooperative Learning activities(with or without activities and the types of feedback activities)as the main observation point.And this study chooses classroom observation as the main research methods with the observation scale of Group Cooperative Learning activities of high-quality English classes of junior high schools to collect statistics.It?s in order to understand the real situation of Group Cooperative Learning activities in high-quality English classes of junior high schools.The author analyzes the characteristics of Group Cooperative Learning activities of high-quality English classes of junior high schools and provides suggestions for English teachers of junior high schools with the theories of constructivism and Bloom?s classification of cognitive goal.Through the observation statistics of the Group Cooperative Learning activities in the selected quality classes,we can see that the teachers use the direct and indirect directives at the same time in the Group Cooperative Learning activities;the guidance forms of activities are varied;the students are fully prepared before the activities;the Group Cooperative Learning activities are varied;the objectives of Group Cooperative English Learning point to the high level of cognition;the time of Group Cooperative Learning activities is appropriate;the Group Cooperative Learning activities have high participation rate;the teachers give priority to guide students in the Group Cooperative Learning activities;teachers pay more attention to the feedback of students in the quality class;the forms of feedback are varied.According to the conclusion above,the author proposed the junior high schools English teachers should be good at using the direct command language;enrich the guidance forms of early activities;attach importance to the preparatory work of students;use varied types of Group Cooperative Learning activities;improve the cognitive level of students;ensure the time of Group Cooperative Learning activities is moderate;mobilize the students' participation of Group Cooperative Learning activities;reasonable orientate the teachers ?role;pay attention to the use of feedback;both different forms of feedback activities.
