A Study On The Effect Of College Students’ Career Preparation On College Students’ Career Choices In Xinjiang

Career preparation is an important index to measure the employment ability of college students.Career choice is the necessary part to determine the future development of college students.The dissertation tries to find out the influence of career preparation on the career choice of college students,understand the status quo of college students’ career preparation and career choice,and finally help college students to prepare and hopefully to promote the employment of college students and realize social harmony and stability.In this study,the college students in Xinjiang as the object of study,with career preparation on the choice of career as the content of the study,which will define the career requirements as "employment capacity and employment expectations of a comprehensive embodiment",divided into five dimensions,which are professional assets,professional attitudes,self-awareness,Career planning and job search.The career choice is defined as "people from their career expectations,career aspirations and based on their own interests,abilities,characteristics of their own quality,from the existing social occupation to find a suitable job," it includes three aspects of job type selection,which are place of employment selection and expected salary selection.The research is based on the theory of professional matching,career interest theory,career theory and the needing theory.Through the questionnaire survey and individual in-depth interviews with six undergraduate colleges in Xinjiang,we will understand the status quo of career preparation and career choice,and then use SPSS 22.0 software for differential analysis and multivariate logistic regression analysis to explore the impact of career preparation on career choice.The conclusions are as follow:1.The overall level of professional preparation of Xinjiang college students is moderate,and the vocational training methods are simple.The forms of college students participating in social practice are diverse.There are significant differences in the employment of different ethnic groups in different job groups;different ethnic groups have significant differences in the professional preparation of different dimensions;different grades in the professional attitudes vary significantly;different professions in the professional preparation of the dimensions are significantly different.2.The choice of professional types,college students are most inclined to work in public institutions,followed by independent entrepreneurship,education,to the state-owned enterprises work;choice of employment location,college students choose the capital city and other municipalities accounted for the largest proportion,Municipalities and the following proportion of the least;the aspect of expected salary,the choice of 3001-5000 yuan the largest number of monthly salary,select the minimum number of 2,000 yuan and below.3.Career preparation is a significant factor in career choice.High degree of professional preparation of students choose institutions and the higher proportion of party and government.Students with lower levels of job preparation are more likely to receive lower salaries;among those who choose higher pay,the proportion of students with a high degree of career preparation is the highest.Choose to Beijing,Shanghai,Guangzhou and other first-tier cities in the number of employment,the highest degree of professional preparation of the highestproportion of students,the level of professional preparation of students to choose the capital cities and other municipalities up to the largest.4.Occupational assets have a positive predictive effect on the place of employment.Occupational assets and job search have a positive effect on the expected salary.The career planning affects the choice of the industry.The higher the career planning,the choice of state-owned enterprises,research project units and further studies the greater the probability.
