| The theory of family modernization argues that changes in social structure, cultural values and legal systems caused by the rapid advancement of industrialization and modernization have had a profound impact on the family structure and function of the rest of the world. In China, along with the accelerated process of urbanization,on the one hand,China’s rapid economic development level, which greatly improved the people’s material quality of life.At the same time, due to the needs of economic development, labor force in large-scale flow between urban and rural areas, the stability of traditional marriage greatly reduced, divorce phenomenon is increasingly serious, some scholars pointed out that contemporary China’s marriage has been from the rough but stable rock Of the "Stone Age" into the fine but fragile "porcelain era",rising divorce rate has become one of the major social problems facing China. The high divorce rate, although to a certain extent, represents the openness and inclusiveness of society, but for most individuals the high divorce rate has a serious negative impact, such as the trauma and economic damage to the person,Growth of the negative, but also may cause a decline in fertility, the rise in crime and other issues, the overall impact on the community as a whole. In this paper, based on the high divorce rate in the process of urbanization, this paper uses the 31 provincial panel data of mainland China from 1999 to 2014,and through the scientific definition of the selected variables,we adopt the static panel data model,The test of the surface includes the benchmark test, the heterogeneity test, the mechanism test and the robustness test, and studies the relationship between the urbanization process and the divorce rate in the transition period and its influence mechanism. The results show that: Firstly, the degree of urbanization rate of social divorce rate of about 0.004,that is,urbanization rate for each 1 percentage point increase, the whole society will increase the divorce rate of 0.004 percentage points.Secondly, the impact of urbanization on social divorce rates has resulted in significant differences between population inflows and population outflows, that is,only population flows into developed areas, urbanization has a significant positive impact on social divorce rates,In the developed areas, urbanization has no significant effect on the divorce rate of society. The outflow of population and urbanization areconducive to stable marriage. In areas with unstable population flow, the impact of urbanization on social divorce rate is significantly affected.Thirdly, urbanization affects the divorce rate through economic factors, social factors and legal system factors, thus demonstrating the mechanism of urbanization on divorce rate.Fourth, urbanization through the price income ratio, the total dependency ratio, information penetration significantly improved the divorce rate.6Finally,Based on the above conclusions, the policy implications of this paper are reflected in the following three directions.First,to expand housing supply, reduce housing prices, improve the income level of residents, reduce economic instability caused by the economic factors, improve the quality of marriage;second, increase the care and support of the elderly groups, expand fiscal expenditure The welfare of the elderly groups and the protection of expenditure,to reduce the young family, especially the one-child couple’s support pressure, thereby reducing the total burden factor is too high and divorce;third,to enhance the media communication platform for information authenticity and normative Management, advocate the correct value orientation,to promote the marriage between the two sides of the information between the symmetry, reduce the probability of marriage instability. |
