The expansion of enrollment in colleges and universities and the deepening of the reform of tuition system have caused problems of poor students in a wide range. A multivariate mixed funding system has been established in China, which contains an integration of "award, loan, aid, decrease," and "green channel", it provides strong support to solve the economic problems of the poor students. But the problem of focusing more on material support than on spirit in our country is still outstanding. Only by digging deeper into educational function in aid education in colleges and universities and helping the poor students to become rich in both material and spirit double, can we get the all-round growth of our students in vocational college, make the aid education more scientific, standardized, reasonable, and achieve the ultimate goal of higher education.Aid education is an eternal problem in all the countries which have development of higher education. Due to stronger economic power, higher education in western countries has been started earlier and developed more completely, in terms of aid education they have more theory researches than in our country, and their practical level is higher, too. In recent years, along with the deepening of development process of higher education, while improving the system of higher education mechanism, the theoretical study in academic research has been richer and richer. Evolving from aid policy, aid methods have extended to research in the field of education. The research studies from theoretical analysis to the empirical test, from commonness to specific in a certain area or school have constantly enriched. But compared with "fruits" in the field of aid, the education level of study in domestic is slightly weaker. Such kinds of studies in China have much less. as an administrative personnel in college who has been working on aid education, the author hopes to be able to make the research of this field richer and extension wider by combining her theory research and experience of so many years, thus she writes this paper.Closely getting around the theme of aid in colleges and universities, the paper introduces the research background, purpose, significance and research method,summarizes the research results by many scholars on student aid education.The paper studies the connotation and denotation of functions of aid education, the main content of functions of aid education, and the basic principles and reality basis of functions of aid education. On the basis of the above theory, taking Zhen Zhou Vocational College of Finance and Taxation as empirical study model, collecting data information by questionnaire to give deep analysis, from the angles of social environment, school organizations and own factors of poor students, the author takes an in-depth analysis on the questions, such as fenders' cognitive bias, mental unbalance,imperfection on management, protection and supervision system, and the non-build of evaluation mechanism, etc. on current domestic aid education in higher vocationalcolleges. Finally, the paper points out: teachers in higher vocational colleges, counselors and the administrative personals should change their consciousness, the aid recipients should enhance the sense of responsibility, adjust the recipient mind. To have standard education management system, to have strict study on qualification of poor students and improve the school work; To optimize security system, to promote the cooperation between colleges and factories and create a social atmosphere; To strengthen the campus educational environment, to add educational courses, to enrich campus culture life; And eventually form a quantifiable evaluation mechanism. Through the above efforts, the author hopes to stimulate greater value on aid education in colleges and universities.
