The Design And Test Of Online Education Platform For Continuing Education

Continuing education is an educational activity after school education for all the members of society,especially the adults,and it is an important part of the lifelong learning system.Online education has been known as an effective way for learning supported by information technology in the recent years,and it provides a great opportunity for the development of continuing education.Thanks to the convenience from Internet,constructing a good online education platform for continuing education could provide comprehensive online education support services for students and teachers.In this paper,the research is focused on the design and test of the online education platform for continuing education according to the specific needs and the existing infrastructure and application resources.We firstly introduce the development status of the online education platform at home and abroad,and analyze the real industry requirements of online education for continuing education.According to the development of network platform construction,the basic application and the analysis of requirement,we propose an overall design of the online education platform,which contains two major parts,the information portal system and the online learning system.The platform includes information portal system,learning resource management,cloud course management,curriculum arrangement,online learning management,learning achievement evaluation,learning certification management and other functional modules.To meet the needs of teaching management of continuing education,we design the modules of the learning resource management associated with the teaching quality evaluation,the modules of the course arrangement related to the department and post,and the management system of examination library based on knowledge systematization.Finally,the function test of the online education platform is executed comprehensively,and the specialized performance test tool is used to test the performance of the online examination system,which is the maximum concurrent pressure part of the education platform.The test results show that the online education platform meets the design requirements.With the designs and tests of the online education platform for continuing education,we propose an effective solution for education and training,which is complementary to traditional face-to-face education for students and teachers together.
