The border line of our country is about 22000-kilometre long,bounded by 15 countries.With the deepening of China's reform and opening up and the increasing of comprehensive national strength,studying Chinese culture and developing the economic and trade cooperation with China has become a tide of foreigners.Therefore,there are more and more foreign nationality students coming to study in China and it becomes relatively common,especially with people who share the same culture origins with ethnic minority people in border areas.Located in the southwest border and adjoined with Burma,Jinghong city of Xishuangbanna prefecture appeals to the Burmese students studying here and has already formed a certain scale.The author have investigated the current situation of the recruiting and nurturing foreign students in Jinghong,hence mastered the foreign small and medium-sized school compulsory education students with the basic condition of students.This research mainly divided into four parts.The first chapter is the introduction,the main content is the study of reason,research purpose,research status,the choice of the research object,research methods and process.The second chapter is about relevant concept definition and theoretical basis.The third chapter introduces the basic situation of foreign students in the compulsory education class in the frontiers of Jinghong,including the general situation of social and economic development,the basic condition of compulsory education development and the overview of the education development in the adjacent line of Burma and Jinghong The fourth chapter is the problem analysis and suggestions,mainly referring to the current problems and contradictions about recruiting and training of foreign students in compulsory education in border areas of Jinghong,as well as the corresponding suggestions and countermeasures.The conclusions of this study are as follows:Through the investigation and study,I found there are a lot of problems in the supporting policy,funding investment,teacher training of recruiting and cultivatingforeign nationality students.In view of the problems,I suggest that recruiting and cultivating foreign nationality students in compulsory education class in frontiers of our country should focus on solving three certain kinds of problem--"coming in","staying down" and "learning well".Solving the problem of "coming in" needs to develop a series of supporting policies like student status management,recruitment,education benefits,graduation and entrance policy.The key to solve the problem of retaining talents is increasing investment,planning school layout reasonably,promoting educational informatization and realizing the standardization of school construction.To achieve the last goal of "learning well",we should focus on strengthening teacher training,carrying out bilingual teaching actively and laying solid foundation of school management so as to improve the education quality of compulsory education class in frontier areas thoroughly.
