In May 2015, the State Council released the national strategy plan on strengthening high-end manufacturing——Made in China 2025, this is the first program of action of the three Ten-year Strategy for Building China into a Powerful Manufacturing Country. In the future, China's manufacturing will follow the principal line of deep integration of industrialization and informationization, and promote traditional manufacturing upgrade and healthy and steady development. Obviously, the implementation of Made in China 2025 will need matching human resource as guarantee, and also propose new requirements for technical talents. However, the China's vocational education, in charge of training technical talents, lags much behind such as Germany these developed countries. For serving Made in China 2025, China's vocational schools need to upgrade in terms of strategic plan and talents training, etc. This study takes vocational schools in Hubei province as the research object, applies literature research method and survey research method to analyze the current difficulties and challenges facing China's manufacturing industry and points out through the internal and external dilemma, that China's manufacturing industry lacks technical competitiveness and faces the problem of “double extrusion”. The national strategy plan Made in China 2025 is the outlet of China's manufacturing. The reform of technology and industry under the background of Made in China 2025 will bring about “new majors”, “new requirements”, “new curricula” and “new modes” for vocational schools. Furthermore, in the survey of 15 vocational schools in Hubei province, the current situation and problems in talents training are investigated and analyzed from four aspects: major structure, talents requirements, curriculum structure and contents, and training modes. Studies on the survey find that those four aspects in vocational schools lag far behind the requirements of Made in China 2025. Therefore, based on the results of theoretical analysis and survey, this study proposes coping strategies for vocational schools from three perspectives: formulating supporting strategic plan, optimizing vocational schools resources allocation, improving students' vocational capability structure. From the theoretical level, this study tries to analyze the interaction between Made in China 2025 and vocational schools development. From the methodological level, this study creates the survey instrument for vocational schools development under the background of Made in China 2025. Future research should enrich the field of interaction theory of Made in China 2025 and vocational education development, and deepen the empirical research in the field of vocational schools development under the background of Made in China 2025.
