Scientific practice is the most concerned topic of scientific education,and scientific argument is a typical scientific practice.At present,the majority of students are lack of awareness of the argument in the process of dealing with the problem,and most teachers rarely pay attention to the argument in the teaching,which led to the low ability of students.Therefore,this study aimed to improve the scientific argumentation ability of students,to solving the two main contents:(1)to explore ways to cultivate the scientific argumentation ability of students;(2)to improve the scientific argumentation ability of students.Based on reading a large number of domestic and foreign related science literature,combined with the actual situation of the school,the author designed and practiced the GEDI argument-mode,and choose the content where the argument element is numerous and powerful in the High chemical compulsory one to make argument-teaching plan.In this study,35 students of Grade 1 in a middle school in Linfen city in Shanxi province were selected as the subjects of the study,and were gave argumentative coach.The test contests are Electrolyte,Ionic reaction and its conditions,Metal sodium and water reaction,Al(OH)3 Preparation and Fe(OH)2 Preparation.By comparing the level and elements of 35 students after nonargument-teaching and argument coaching,the writer finds the argument level has enhance by a large margin,and the argument element has increase even their combination tend to more reasonable.Through this study,the following conclusions:the GEDI mode can make for mastering knowledge,while contribute to the development of the scientific argumentation ability of students;and the practice which using the GEDI mode is able to enhance student's consciousness of data and evidence,thus improve the the scientific argumentation ability of students.
