Through teaching practice and questionnaire survey, this dissertation has investigated how to improve students' interest in learning physics.The main contents include:1. To discriminate the concepts of "interest", "direct interest", and"indirect interest". This dissertation defines "interest" as a psychological tendency. An external thing, because of its fresh, mysterious and other features, can arouse experiencer very intense sensory stimulation as well as his brain excitement and emotional impulses, and hence, the experiencer may be interested in it, which is so-called direct interest.Although, indirect interest is related to the stimulation of the outside world, it is mainly from human thought and will, which can be maintained by the individual's own will. Therefore, indirect interest has a more certain stability than direct interest.2. A one-semester teaching practice has been carried out at a senior middle school in WZ City. Choose two classes of almost the same quality from the senior grade one, one as the experimental class while the other as the control class. As compared to parallel classes, the teaching for the experimental class is executed according to the level of interests and some intervention measures are also adopted, such as to demonstrating more experimental experiments and physical models and using self-made teaching aids. While, the control class is still in accordance with the original teaching style, without any experimental intervention. By analyzing in detail the physical interest scale of middle school students and the questionnaire about the interest in learning physics, as well as the purpose of the study and the existence of the time and the professional problems, we adopt the questionnaire designed by Shi-Yin Ji and his team,which is of much validity and reliability.By carrying out the pre-test and post-test of the questionnaire and using the SPSS software statistics, we then measure and census the teaching effect with experimental class and control class. Through the comparison of the data, it can be found that after one-semester experimental intervention, all the four levels of interest for the students in the experimental class has been improved. Especially, the intuition and operation interest level have been improved remarkably, while the improvement in the level of causal interest is also a distinct and that in the theoretical interest level comes second. Our investigation shows that,before carrying out teaching practice, it should better know well the students' interest levels through the questionnaire and then use the targeted strategy to improve the students' interest level, which can effectively improve the students' interest level and enhance students'learning process experience.
