With the "painting towards comprehensive",in nowadays,the mixed media stepped into our vision step by step in art exhibition, the boundaries of the painting are gradually broke away. The traditional aesthetic standards also changed. In nowadays the usage of the materials among most of the junior high school students are still stayed in the traditional painting materials, which has blocked students' bold innovation and free expression in art teaching activities, and also go against using variety of materials for design and building promoted by the Art curriculum. Thus, in this situation, combining with the reality of junior high school art studying, we assumed to integrate Mixed Media course into our junior high school art teaching, as an important part of the development of innovation.This thesis takes "material" as a breakthrough, I analysis and study the types and language of the material. I take domestic and foreign artists and their mixed media works as a clue. I study the development of mixed media by analyzing and studying the types and languages of materials, provide a prerequisite for the materials choses. The most important thing of this thesis is the mixed media choosing. The author used Gestalt organization principles for material choosing. Besides this, make full use of waste materials and ready-made materials for artistic performance. In this study, through the combing of the content of junior middle school art courses, interviewing with fine arts teachers in primary and secondary schools,interviewing with art practice trainees,interview with off campus art teachers, to understand the feasibility of integrating materials into junior middle school art teaching, listening to teacher's advice,in order to improve teaching strategies. On this basis, the author integrated mixed media into junior high school art course, take "use decorative colors to express" as an example, focusing on the positive significance of integrating mixed media into junior middle school art teaching.The usage of mixed media is a door to art education, open this door, on the one hand it can strength the connection of modern art,on the other hand, it can inspire students'creative thinking, creating around the material, innovating in a personal way, expressing personal emotions.
