The 21st century is the century of innovation, with the development of social needs,people pay more and more attention to the cultivation of children’s creativity in art education. Kindergarten art education is an important way to implement aesthetic education for preschool children, however, the art curriculum of kindergartens in most parts of China is still dominated by traditional painting. " Teacher demonstration, child copy ” is the main teaching method. Let the children learn knowledge and skills is the most important goal. It is difficult to cultivate children’s creativity in this situation. Their divergent thinking are blocked, this neither can meet the needs of children’s physical and mental development nor can meet the requirements of modern society for talent. With the promotion of quality education and the depth of curriculum reform, art education is more and more emphasis on innovation and openning. Mixed Media painting is the new trend of modern western art development, It broke the traditional painting pattern and enriches the expression of painting. Its appearance influenced the development of modern art, also penetrated into the field of art education. Mixed Media painting started very late in our country,it’s a novel art curriculum resources. This study mainly uses the literature method、observation method、interview method、practice method, taking the large class of children in Central China Normal University Affiliated Kindergarten as an example,explored the effect of using Mixed Media painting to inspire children ’s creativity.There are five chapters in this study,the first chapter comprehensively expounds the origin of the research topic、theoretical significance、practical significance and research methods;The second chapter discusses physiological development characteristics、psychological developmention、artistic ability、creative ability of 5 to 6 years old children in kindergarten;Chapter 3 demonstrates the criteria for judging the creativity of young children, And then analyzes the present situation of art education development in kindergartens in China、 the existing problems and Its adverse effects on the cultivation of young children’s creativity.Followed by analysis of the difference between traditional painting and Mixed Media painting,It is the basis for the following study.Chapter 4 first introduceded that how to develop Mixed Media and some notes,then introduced the teaching strategy of the Mixed Media painting course in sequence.At last, a case study is performed.The fifth chapter is mainly to review the full text, made some reflection on the problems in the study and looking to the future of the course.
