Research On The Contribution Of Priority Academics Development Of Universities In Jiangsu To Improve Core Competitiveness Of Universities

China has entered a critical period of transition that makes our higher education from broad extension into great power,to realize the higher education powerful country requires the support of the core competitiveness of universities.It also needs a large number of high levels of priority academics.The model of the Priority Academics Development focus on pursuing characteristics,striving synergy and improving quality,it has been given an era task based on Chinese characteristics and aimed at the world-class level.Therefore,the study on the contribution and relationship those priority academics development components to enhance core competitiveness have significant meanings on further strengthening discipline construction level of institutions,improving the comprehensive competitiveness of universities,even promoting the process of Chinese education connotative development.In this paper,the model on how priority academics development enhanced the core competitiveness of university has been constructed based on researching their connotations and components.The research objects are personnel joined in the Project Funded by the Priority Academic Program Development of Jiangsu Higher Education Institutions(PAPD).This article utilized the SEM to test the correctness and rationality of hypothesis,in order to put forward effective ways to promote priority academics development.This paper is divided into five parts.The first part is introduction.The second part defines the relevant concepts and theoretical basis.The third part is the theoretical assumptions,modeling and survey design.This section refines the operational definition of each factor based on theoretical research.The priority academics development consisted of five components,including advantage and characteristic development,academic echelon development,resource and condition development,scientific research development and talent training development,is determined by pre-research analysis.At the same time,core competitiveness of universities has been known as the combination of resource capacity,management ability and service ability.The fourth part is simulation test and analysis,launching the empirical study in six universities in Jiangsu Province,further validating the above components,confirming the scientific research through reliability and validity analysis.It turns out that most of unobserved variables of priority academics development have a significant,positive and direct impact on improving core competitiveness of universities;however,the influence varies depends on different variables.The fifth part is conclusions and suggestions,this paper draw a conclusion that how to orchestrate advantages,strengthen echelon,promote scientific research and talent training,along with innovating management models,and then propose collaborating internal and external systems of priority academics development aimed at improving core competitiveness of universities.The innovation embodied in this article:In thie paper,SEM has been used to verify the constituent elements of priority academics development,and analyze the direction and contribution to strengthening core competitiveness of universities,which broadened the research field of vision.Finally,proposing some recommendations to promote priority academics development based on improving core competitiveness of universities combined with the reality.
