Current Situation And Development Of The University For The Aged

China has officially begun to enter the aging society.The ensuing problems of aging have become increasingly prominent,especially the problems of leisure and education of the aged.As the main form of urban elderly education,the university of the aged should act as the main body of the implementation of the elderly leisure education to guide the aged to relax correctly and scientifically.However,there are many problems in the leisure life of the elderly university students in the city because the university of the aged has not played a proper role and the leisure education of it has great defects.How to develop the leisure education of the elderly university to make the elderly university in cities implement the leisure education more effectively and specifically,and how to solve the problems,promote both physical and mental health development of the students in elder universities and the happiness index of their later life have become an urgent question to discuss.Therefore,the study of this problem is of great theoretical and practical significance.This study regards the current situation and development of the elderly university in China as the research object,analyzes the theory of leisure and leisure education systematically by using the methods of literature research,questionnaire,interview and comparative studies.Based on the current situation of the universities of the aged in Jiujiang,the author finds the following problems in their development process : the unbalanced development of the old age education;insufficient concept of the old age education;single education form;narrow coverage.What's more,the curriculum for the elderly education and the educational model need to be improved urgently.According to these problems,this thesis gives several specific suggestions to develop the universities of the aged from the aspects of the country,society,the elderly universities and the educators.Through the suggestions,the universities of the aged are expected to played a major role in building the old age leisure education system.
