In China the management and service for retirees has always been of higher priority. However, with the social development, there have been fundamental changes in the constitution and demand of retirees. In addition, the current management model for retirees cannot adapt to the retiree management and service under the new circumstance. Based on the current retiree management of three universities in Jiujiang city, this thesis adopts questionnaire survey and interviews, applies theories and principles of Public Management and Organizational Behavior and Statistics, analyzes the retiree management model of the three universities in Jiujiang city, and then puts forward the3600multi-dimensional management model for retirees according to their actual needs. Through the analysis of implement effect and pros and cons of the3600multi-dimensional management model, this thesis concludes that the experience in the3600multi-dimensional management model can further benefit the improvement of the retiree management at some universities in Jiujiang.This thesis is composed of five parts as follows:Chapter One makes an introduction of the offer, objectives, significance, ideas and methods of the research.Chapter Two mainly introduces the current situation of retiree management at three local universities in Jiujiang city.Chapter Three analyzes the problems of the retiree management at three local universities in Jiujiang city.Chapter Four puts forward the3600multi-dimensional management model for retirees,explores its connotation and implementation steps through the case study on Jiuji ang University, and analyzes its advantages and disadvantages.Chapter Five offers the corresponding strategies to administrators on how to improve the present retiree management of university.This thesis finds that the present management model at three universities in Jiujiang city falls into a dilemma and has much difficulty meeting the demands of retirees in the ways of human resources, material resources, financial resources and system guarantee. Thereby, the implementation of the3600multi-dimensional management model is sure to efficient to perfect the guarantee system, to improve administrators’ ability and management, and to be a better stage for retirees’ involvement in university’s affairs to realize "Liuge Laoyou"--Six senses of security and support,medical care,value,learning, belief and happiness.
