The in-depth integration of higher education and network information technology has led to a new technical form,which is called network education technology.Compared with the traditional educational technology and teaching mode,network education technology can provide those learners with more diverse options.With the fast development of online education,a growing number of the universities,educational institutions,enterprises,teachers and learners in China have devoted themselves to the online education represented by MOOC.Besides benefiting from the fast development of network education technology,they also have to deal with a series of potential risks which are quite complicated and deserve much attention.Based on the domestic researches on network education technology,this paper has made a study of the cause of the risk related to the application of the technology.Some countermeasures have been also provided and discussed from different angles.It hopes to provide reference for the reform in the educational system and the future innovation in the educational technologies in China.This paper consists of 5 parts.The first part is the introduction.The research background of the network education technology represented by MOOC has been discussed.Based on the literature review available,it has also pointed out the potential risks facing network education technology at the current stage.The essence of the risk of network education technology has been also analyzed,including the risky factors,risky events,risky consequence and technical features.From the perspective of technology,culture,ideology and ethics,this paper has also analyzed the cause and expression of technical risks facing network education technology.Based on the cause of the risk,some countermeasures aimed to avoid the risk have been given in the fourth part.They include technical prevention,governmental supervision,ethical quality and the building of educational and cultural system suited to the Chinese characteristics.Lastly,by choosing MOOC course as an example,this paper has further verified the combination of the possibility and reality of the risk facing network education technology in the hope of providing reference for the development of modern network education technology in China.
