This research will conclude related theories and devise questionnaires for students and questions for teachers on the basis of summarizing the relevant literature at home and abroad. And it will conduct an investigation from various aspects, such as students'attitudes and recognition toward Chinese summer homework, the amount and difficulty level of homework, the content and form of homework, the process of completing homework, teachers' requirements for students, teachers' understanding for the function and evaluation of Chinese summer homework. According to the survey, there are mainly four problems in current Chinese summer homework: Students' and teachers' wrong ideas about the function and value of Chinese summer homework,unreasonable design of Chinese summer homework, unreasonable correction and feedback system of Chinese summer homework and parents pay no attention to homework. The author explore the causes of the problem through the survey data, and the following four recommendations are approved: paying attention to the value of Chinese summer homework, designing homework in a scientific and reasonable way, constructing scientific and efficient evaluation system of Chinese summer homework and parents should pay attention to and supervise the students' Chinese summer study.
