Design And Implementation Of A Primary School English Learning System Based On Android Platform

English is the most widely used language in international exchange, and raising the level of national English is the need of economic globalization. Primary school is the beginning of English learning,but also a critical period. If primary school students improve their English learning,it can prepare for a higher level of English learning. At present,the mobile Internet is booming,smart mobile devices lay the foundation for the development of mobile learning, and the Android system equipment market share of up to 76%.In this thesis, based on the above situation, a English mobile learning software based on the Android platform is designed and developed. Firstly, it introduces the research status of mobile learning and speech recognition at home and abroad, and analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of current English learning application. At the same time,the voice recognition technology is introduced in detail,which is applied to the primary school English mobile learning system.Secondly,based on the analysis of the contents of primary school English curriculum and the characteristics of primary school students,the requirements of the fourth grade English mobile learning system are analyzed and the application system is structured. Then, it designs the login registration, the dialogue learning, the word learning, the word test, the new words and other functional modules. Especially, the functional modules focus on interactive and multimedia learning resources. In addition,the various databases are also designed for the system.Furthermore,Eclipse 4.3, Android SDK 4.4 and other tools are used to develop the English mobile learning system. In this paper, the realization procedures of each function module are introduced in detail. More important, the pronunciation evaluation method based on speech frame distance is used to realize the pronunciation score function. The pronunciation correction function is realized by correcting the method based on the pronunciation formant. Cartoon characters are adopted for digital learning resources, such as pictures and video, and the speech recognition and evaluation technologies are used in the test, which can interest students in their study. In fact, the test results show that the system realized the designed functions of all modules.Finally, it summaries the main research achievements of the thesis and make the d prospects. Meanwhile, the shortcomings of the paper and further research work are pointed out.
