Mathematics anxiety as a negative mathematics learning experience has become a hot issue in the study of mathematics education.It refers to a mental state including fearing,worrying even avoiding math which is produced as a special anxiety during the time when the people learn mathematics content and apply mathematics knowledge.Additionally,it exerts an influence on the efficiency and effect of mathematical activity to a certain extent.Aimed at the relationship between mathematics anxiety which is less discussed and mathematics learning content.this paper mainly studies the correlation between mathematics anxiety of eight-grade students and Mathematics learning content by means of measuring and interviewing the students who are second grade students from three different middle schools after the mathematics anxiety scale has revised and corrected.Grade-eight students are the research object.Study 1.Selection and Revision of mathematics anxiety scaleThe study adopted the questionnaire survey method and interview method.The survey questionnaires used in the questionnaire survey method were mainly the mathematics anxiety Scale,the Grade 8 Math Learning Difficulty Scale.Before the official issue of the questionnaire to investigate,a small-scale pilot survey was conducted and the existing problems of the scale and the investigation were modified timely.It also has proved that these scales which had good reliability and effectiveness can be used for formal measurement.Study 2.Study on the Relationship between mathematics anxiety and Mathematics learning contentAccording to the scale used in the three schools after the investigation of the data obtained,it indicated that mathematics anxiety is positively related to mathematics achievements.As for the difficulty coefficient of fractional,real and frequency and its distribution three chapters,Boys were significantly larger than girls.Nevertheless,girls were obviously larger than Boys in terms of the difficulty coefficient of Triangle,right triangle,quadrilateral three chapters.Students from the Yueyang No.9 Middle School,Yuehua No.3 Middle School and Wenqiao town middle school feel similar in the degree of difficulty of different mathematics content in accord with the feeling about difficulty of Eighth grade overall students.Study 3.Suggestions to teachers,students,parents and textbook editor on preventing and reducing serious mathematics anxiety.
