The Study On The Role Of Social Workers In Rehabilitation Institutions For Autistic Children

In recent years,the increasing number of children with autism has gained a lot of attention and many autistic families spend all their time and money on treating their children’s autism,the condition of children with autism is alarming.It is so necessary to investigate the roles and responsibilities of social workers working in Autism rehabilitation institution that we can know the status of social workers in the institution of children with autism.Based on the practice experiences in autism rehabilitation institution and combined with the interview method and literature method to obtain information,using social role theory analysis role-playing of social workers in autism rehabilitation facility.In general,the responsibilities of social workers can be summarized as administrative personnel,activities,pioneers of social resources,and service providers and so on.It is role expectation for social workers to link the social resources to expand rehabilitation institution and it is their work content to manage volunteer and promote the institutions.From the work role of social worker,there are existed some problems : The confusion and dislocation of social worker’s professional role;The work of social workers is fundamental and the specialization of service is not strong;Social workers are under dual leadership with great pressure and lack of professional support.In the process of working,the social workers of the autism children rehabilitation organization are not respected and lack of job satisfaction.The paper studies from the macro to the micro,providing support for social workers from social,social work institution and personal to solve the problems that social worker med in the rehabilitation institution.Finally,the most important thing is that social work agencies not only expand in the professional field,but also should strengthen the training of professional talents and introduce the guidance and support of professional supervision in order to improve practice skills of practitioners and promote the development of social work in professionalization and specialization.
