STSE, abbreviation of science, technology, society and environment, originates from the science technology and society (STS) movement in science education. Today,STSE education is the trend and magnet of international education reform, and it is also an important subject and direction of new curriculum reform of China. STSE questions in College Entrance Examination permeating concept of STSE education, contributes to satisfaction of the requirements of education reform, improvement of students' biological key competences, promotion of students' development and accelerating sustainable development.This study chooses STSE questions in College Entrance Examination as research object, on which there are less research. By referring to the literature, combined with the characteristics of biology, biological college entrance examination questions, the characteristics of STSE education and the development of STSE questions classification method, we divide STSE questions of Biological College Entrance Examination into three categories, biological science and technology, biological sciences and society,biological science and the environment.Summarize all the questions in 2012-2016 College Entrance Examination in biology,analyze elements of STSE in the background of each set of questions, and analyze the STSE questions in each paper of all papers annually to find the overall distribution of the state; and then analyze biological science and technology, biological sciences and society,biological science and the environment three categories of STSE questions in all the papers to discover the specific distribution of STSE questions in every single paper. By the distribution and concrete examples, we summed the characteristics of various STSE questions in CEE: biological science and technology has the features that concerns about the history of biological sciences, concerns about the application of biological science and technology, with regional characteristics; biological sciences and society has the features that contacts daily life, highlights key competences, concerns about health and the concept of life, attaches much importance to backbone knowledge and examines comprehensive analysis; biological science and the environment has the features that concerns about ecological environment, attach importance to emotional education and the combination of local resources of the province, reflects social responsibility, and pays attention to inquiry ability and the development of thinking.Finally, we summarize the results of the research, and advise on teaching STSE in high school and the review of College Entrance Examination in biology.
