The Role Conflict Study Of Secretaries Of The College CPC Committee

According to "Regulations of the Communist Party of China on the work of grassroots organization in Colleges and Universities", the college CPC committee is set up. Secretaries of the college CPC committee are the guiders of political direction,executors of school policy, leaders of college affairs, servant of teachers and students and other multiple roles. Taking the theory of social role and the theory of social conflict as the theoretical basis, with the analysis framework of internal role conflict, the external role conflict, and the roles conflict, and by research methods of qualitative and quantitative combination, and along the path of "theoretical study - empirical research --strategy adjustment", this paper studies on roles conflict of secretaries of the college CPC committee. This study focuses on the following aspects: the actual situation, the impact,the reason and the adjustment strategy of roles conflict of secretaries of the college CPC committee.As an individual in society, the role conflict is inevitable. The role conflict has influence on secretaries of the college CPC committee in two aspects: First, the negative impact. It not only affects the physical and mental health of the secretary, but also affects the wishes of continuing to serve as the secretary, which will reduce work efficiency and have negative influence on the school work; Second, the positive impact. They play the role of "power source" "safety valve" and the "stimulator".This paper analyzes the actual situation of the roles conflict of secretaries of the college CPC committee, and draws four basic conclusions. First, roles conflict of secretaries of the college CPC committee is prevalent above average,with characteristics of high degree and universality; Second, roles conflict of secretaries of the college CPC committee is diverse, and the forms are in variety; Third, there are some differences on roles conflict of secretaries of the college CPC committee in four variables including gender, education background, service life, school level; Fourth, as the transformation of university governance and modernization, roles conflict of secretaries of the CPC party committee can be more complex, and the external roles conflict is more intensified, and the internal roles conflict is more prominent.The roles conflict is the result of many kinds of factors, including society,organization, individual and character. The changes of social environment are the important causes of the roles conflict. The changes are in two aspects: social value distortion, and changes of the external environment. Organizational causes are embodied by the fact that the college is a system with multiple powers, multiple goals, and multicultural coexistence. The diversity of the college has become the fundamental organizational cause of roles conflict. The imperfect internal management system of the college is also the cause of the conflict. Personal causes are reflected in roles conflict of personality traits, relationships, and role-playing skills. The role itself is also a cause of the roles conflict of secretaries, which includes three aspects: cross-border workers,excessive role load, and deficiency role resources.According to causes of the roles conflict of secretaries of the college CPC committee, this paper puts forward the two strategies of "internal solution" and "external solution" to the roles conflict: firstly,reconstructing the relationship between colleges and society and creating a good social environment; second is to rebuild internal management system and improve the college management system; third is to further reshape the value system of colleges and universities and strengthen the organizational culture; four is to effectively improve the cadre training system and comprehensively improve the role skills.
