As a world-renowned philosopher, thinker and politician,Confucius is as well as a great educator. At present, domestic studies on Confucius' s thoughts of moral education in the academic circles can be regarded as impressive in quantity and quality perspectives, while research on Confucius' s moral learning on the other hand seems as sparse as the morning stars. In fact,Confucius holds plenty of moral learning thoughts and ideas. However, due to a variety of reasons, they have not been well excavated.Sadly,it's not only the loss for the development of China's ancient moral education resources, but also the interruption of inheritance of essential Chinese traditional cultures and values.Additionally, contemporary development of moral education has also encountered a bottleneck during the learning society transition period.Undesirable problems have surfaced, teachers attach too much attention on knowledge learning over moral learning,on contents over methods,on teaching over self-studying.All those problems must resort to the development of moral leaning resources and the new moral learning theory.Based on these considerations, taking the moral learning theory as the penetration point,Analects of Confucius and other ancient books as the research object, this paper intends to explore new ideas and new approaches from Confucius' s moral education thoughts,in an attempt to promote the transfer from teaching-based moral education to studying-centered moral learning. In view of this, this study is devoted to the interpretation of the self-studying essence and connotation in Confucius' s moral education thoughts, and actively explore the ideological sources, the basic elements, the core contents, the practical strategies and the contemporary moral education values of Confucius' s moral learning ideas. The following six parts are the specific plans of this paper.First, introduce the research origins and describe the research on the moral learning here and broad and the representative studies of Confucius' s moral education thoughts. Then, demonstrate the rationality of Confucius' s moral learning views based on the mentioned above.Second, analyze the deep ideological sources of Confucius' s moral learning views from the Suntech culture during Xia-Shang-Zhou dynasties,Chinese ancient “study over teach” education tradition and the ritual and music culture tradition of the state of Lu.Three, analyze the basic elements of Confucius' s moral learning mainly from“Knowing”,“Persisting”and “Doing”.Four,in accordance with the close relationship between Confucius' s moral learning thoughts and the self, family, friends and society these four important human relations, divide the core contents of Confucius' s morallearning views into the following components, which are respectively self-cultivation learning cored with self ethics, filial piety learning centered on family ethics, fidelity and faithfulness learning based on friend ethics and rights and righteousness learning circled by social ethics.Five, expound the corresponding practical strategies of above four core contents of Confucius' s moral learning thoughts.Six,appraise the Confucius' s moral learning thoughts reasonably and discuss the contemporary moral educational values of those four core contents accordingly. After the research of Confucius' s moral learning thoughts, the author discovers that Confucius' s moral learning thoughts not only beholds profound history, but also has formed a complete system in the structure and the content. Thus,it can provide certain references on the current moral education practice and hopefully this paper can provide some references for the current moral education practice deepening and moral learning theory development.
