Patriotism,as a profound emotion in our country,has long been a spiritual force driving a country’s progress,and a spiritual pillar for the survival of a nation.As the saying goes,"the history of patriotism must be learned",and the cultivation of patriotic sentiments must begin with the study of the history of the motherland.On the one hand,the historical inheritance,richness,history is full of rich material of patriotism education,an important carrier of patriotism education,can carry on the good and effective to the national education.On the other hand,the patriotic education is the eternal theme of education,and the patriotic education in history teaching has a unique advantage that other disciplines cannot match.Therefore,in the teaching of history,we should give full play to the important role of the patriotic education,and also pay attention to the problems existing in the patriotic education.Based on the teaching of high school history,this paper first explains the concepts,characteristics and functions of education and other related concepts of patriotism and patriotism.Secondly,this paper investigates and analyzes the current situation of high school students’ patriotism,and further clarifies the necessity and feasibility of implementing the education in high school history teaching.Finally,based on the questionnaire analysis,this paper puts forward the strategy and suggestion of implementing the education in high school history teaching.
