Geography spatial ability is one of the core abilities of geography,which has a strong guiding effect on the study and life of students.However,the cultivation of students' geographical spatial ability also needs to adopt certain teaching methods.The teaching design of geography can meet the teaching needs,and it has an important effect on the cultivation of students' spatial ability.From the dev elopment trend of t he curriculum reform and the teaching design,the geography teaching design adapts to the need of the geography teaching in the future.Require a higher version of the high school geography knowledge required on students' spatial ability teaching.Effective teaching design not only can reduce the difficulty of learning,but also cultivate students' spatial imagination and space thinking ability,to stimulate the enthusiasm of the st udents.However,the situation of high school students 'geography training is not optimistic,the teaching situation needs to be improved,and there is little room for the study of teaching design to cultivate high school students' geospatial competence.Therefore,it has a strong guiding significance to study of teaching design to cultivate the spatial ability of high school students.In this paper,literature research,questionnaire survey,interview and statistical analysis are used to study the teaching design of high school students' spatial ability.First of all,on the basis of consulting a large number of r elevant literature,this paper puts forward the research background and significance then defines the research ideas and research methods.Secondly,summarize the relevant literature,to determine the theoretical basis of the study,through the study of the relevant literature at home and abroad to determine the starting point of this study.Third,the questionnaire was compiled to find out the current situation of the cultivation of high school students' geography spatial ability and the present situation of teachers' teaching design.Fourth,according to the content and principles of teaching design,combined with the recommendations of teachers,in view of the existing problems,the paper puts forward the teaching design optimization strategy of cultivating the high school students' geographical spatial ability.Finally,the main conclusions are summarized,and the innovation,deficiency and prospect are put forward.Through the investigation,it is found that there are the following problems in t he cultivation and teaching design of high school students' geospatial competence:The geography spatial ability of students is generally low in general;The students generally lack the concept of time and space;The majority of high school students lack the basic knowledge reserve;Students have a poor knowledge of migration ability,mechanical memory,geographical knowledge and other issues;Teachers pay much attention to the design of geography teaching and the use of multimedia courseware.Aiming at the proposed design concept: Change the concept of teachers' teaching design,pay attention to the use of the teaching mode of the new geography curriculum and the combination of teaching and practice;Pay attention to pre-class presupposition,promote classroom generation;Develop targeted teaching design strategy-to guide students,Geospatial capacity;Student-oriented,the appropriate use of multimedia technology;Focus on students to learn the basic knowledge of geography and geography of space ability to develop education.The main conclusions of t his paper are:(1)The cultivation of hig h school students' geographical spatial ability needs to be further strengthened.(2)Students' basic knowledge,ability and geography are the main factors that affect the ability of students.(3)This paper puts forward the teaching design strategy of cultivating high school students' geospatial competence.This paper is innovative in terms of research perspective.Based on the design of geography teaching,this paper investigates the current situation and the teaching design of high school students' geography spatial ability,and puts forward the teaching design strategy based on the spatial training of senior middle school students.
