Driven by the reform of geography education,more and more attention has been paid to the spatial ability of geography,and more and more researches have been made on the spatial ability of geography.However,it is rare to study the spatial imagination ability of senior high school students.The ability of spatial imagination is an important component of the students' geographical accomplishment and comprehensive ability,and is the main intelligent factor in the ability training of Geography Teaching.In teaching practice,many students are unable to understand the principles and laws of the change and development of geographical phenomena because of their weak spatial imagination,which leads to the lack of interest in geography and even fear.Therefore,it is of great practical significance to study how to effectively cultivate high school students' ability of spatial imagination.The relevant concept and psychology based on geography space imagination by way of literature review research,and made detailed classification according to the different characteristics of geography ability representation of geographical space imagination,to establish the theoretical foundation of the research.Then from the hidden curriculum objectives and content standards for geographic spatial imagination the cultivation of the ability of requirement analysis the necessity of high school geography cultivate the ability of space imagination,a feasibility analysis of the geography curriculum content of cultivating the ability of space imagination from the high school geography curriculum content.There are many types of geographic spatial imagination,imagine each representation are relatively independent in their respective characteristics:A relatively static or dynamic rotation evolution,or real but not visible.The present status of the cultivation of different representation in different ways.By comparison and analysis of cognition processing typical geography spatial imagery on different state of teaching,summarizing the appropriate,efficient cultivation methods and optimizing the teaching practice.
