Classical Chinese is not only the treasure of Chinese civilization,but also the foundation of vernacular Chinese and the source of modern chinese.It plays an important role in the development of Chinese civilization.However,the situation of classical Chinese teaching in different regions is poor,and the teaching level is also low.In this paper,Zhaoping County Z senior high school is taken as an example,to study the current situation of classical Chinese teaching.The difficulties in teaching cause classical Chinese teaching to get into trouble,from the classical Chinese’s long history and low practical factors;students’ short of learning interest,lack of accumulation and low efficiency;teachers’ low teaching concept,narrow teaching content and old teaching model etc.;the design of teaching material not matching local teaching condition;and the Z senior high school geographical limitations,as well as the impact of today’s society "fast food" culture and foreign culture.According to the teaching theory and teaching practice,the author puts forward the corresponding teaching reform and innovation of Z senior high school.First,strengthen to improve students’ learning interest,increase their positive significant and accumulate their learning methods.Second,change teachers old teaching ideas,improve their knowledge,pay attention to knowledge cohesion,strengthen the basic teaching,carry out educational technology modernization,diversify teaching methods,such as various forms of interest,enrich the teaching contents,diversify language teaching,integrate teaching content and other aspects of the existent teaching situation in order to give reference to the Z senior high school and the improvement of similar rural senior high school’s classical Chinese teaching.This thesis is divided into four parts:The first part,analyze the characteristics and value of classical chinese.The second part,the author makes an investigation into the teaching classical Chinese in Z senior high school,to understand the specific teaching situation in this area and Z senior high school,and to investigate the present situation of the teaching process.The third part,through the investigation and study,the author finds that Z senior high school’s classical Chinese teaching has the following limitations:teachers’ teaching concept is obsolete,and the teaching content is single;students’learning interest is low and other issues.Combination of ancient Chinese characteristics,the author summarizes the reasons as follows:old teachers’ teaching conception,strong teaching interest and short of reserve;the students’ interest in learning not high and not proper method;too much and difficult teaching materials;low limitations of rural senior high school,and lack of inquiry classical learning environment in the society and so on.Therefore,the author will explore the main reason of the difficulty in the teaching of classical chinese.The fourth part,according to the present situation,combining with the teaching practice,the author puts forward some feasible suggestions and Countermeasures about the reform and innovation of the classical Chinese teaching in Z senior high school and similar schools.1.From the view of students,teachers guide students to improve their interest in learning,pay attention to the significance of classical Chinese learning,develop good habits and accumulate learning methods.2.From the view of teachers,change the old concept,improve the knowledge reserves,pay attention to the convergence of knowledge,strengthen the foundation of teaching,educational technology modernization,teaching methods diversification,develop teaching materials and integrate teaching content.The research is based on the new concept of curriculum reform,the teaching theory of constructivism and "nearest development area" theory,analyzing the present rural high school in the teaching of classical Chinese’ difficulty and put forward some feasible suggestions,in order to improve Z senior high school’s teaching level and similar level schools.
