Research On Application Of The New Media To College Ideological And Political Education

The development of information technology reached unprecedented height since the coming into being of internet,and the emergence of new med ia profoundly influenced college students' learning,life,thinking concept and morality conduct.Confronting with the powerful presence of new media,exploring the approach and method of new media application in ideological and political theory course and improving its attractiveness and effectiveness shall be the important topic needing in-depth research by contemporary ideological and political education staffs.It is found via survey that the teaching status on ideological and political theory course for college students at present is unoptimistic.College students attached insufficient emphasis on ideological and political education,the teaching methods of partial teachers were too single,and it is generally believed by students that it is imperative to conduct reform on ideological and political education.As the outcome of information era,new media brought new opportunities for content expansion of ideological and political education,teaching measure innovation and teaching effect enhancement relying upon its powerful characteristics(real-time,interactivity,virtuality,diversity and personality).Meanwhile,the negative effect brought by new media to college students and the impact to traditional education mode are to be reckoned with.It requires ideological and political education staffs to make a correct assessment of the situation and strengthen own new media accomplishment.In addition,they should endeavor to achieve innovation on the theory,content and method of ideological and political education under new media environment basing on past education experience.In recent years,universities & colleges made certain efforts to apply new media technology to college students' ideological and political education.However,relevant work is still at start-up stage,and there exist a series of problems concerning the organic combination between new media and ideological and political education.Thus education staffs should timely transform education concept,design feasible new media teaching method,and integrate the strength in many ways to actively optimize new media ecological environment,so as to facilitate new media to truly serve for ideological and political education and maintain the inexhaustible vitality of ideological and political education for college students.
