| The paper is an applied research,which mainly aims at using the English songs to teach vocabulary in junior middle school.The researcher comes up with a vocabulary teaching current situation and all kinds of teaching drawbacks.According to Compulsory education English curriculum standard(2011 edition),it puts forward six basic ideas requests.those junior school students are needed to attain the targets of language knowledge.And the outline also gives teachers some advice.The essay states English songs could bring students benefit,which advocates teachers to reform.The paper has researched present situation of domestic English vocabulary teachingand made a list of the major vocabulary instructional theories and methods with a detailed explanation.And it also points out the present situation of English songs in the vocabulary teaching and categorizes them by its contents.The paper indicates the history and present situation of foreign English vocabulary teaching and English songs has an impact on the second language.Guiding by the multiple intelligence theory and Krashen’s the language input hypothesis,combined music intelligence with language intelligence,the teaching method can develop brain’s potential and promote creativity helping students remember words effectively arousing their enthusiasm of language learning through English songs’ intelligibility,enjoyment and relevance.Then,it will finally facilitate students’ comprehensive abilities making it get a remarkable progressive results.The paper propose those two research questions:1)How does the effect of the English songs vocabulary teaching method?2)How does the students’ attitude and behavior change? The author gives research methods,namely,interview method and students’ study diary record.The researcher focuses on teaching remediation actions by interviewing students after classes.And teacher needs to observe those urgent issues of the students’ learning process and know the transformation of students’ attitude and behavior based on study diaries with the time goes by so that teacher could constantly improve the teaching design and understand students whether or not to grasp these words,then come to a conclusion.Now author gets two specific statements:English songs words teaching are feasible.Combined music intelligence with language intelligence not only could help students happily study and accumulatewords broaden the students’ knowledge level,but also take listening,reading,speaking,translating into consideration with teacher teaches words,students learn words by themselves,students teach words.Through three months accumulated observation,students’ study enthusiasms are improved,and their attitude and behavior has a huge change.From hate learning words to study words consciously.Hereby,the author makes some suggestions that hopes teacher could adopt more multiple intelligence with language intelligence to promote students’ ability development.The researcher needs more words teaching method combined English songs with other artistic forms to promote students’ a comprehensive ability.The third-year students can’t use the method because their academic pressure and nervous time.At the same time,it also exists some deficiencies,such as final valuation is lacked of the students’ assessment.We hope it could be made up. |
