Excellent foreign novels contain rich cultural connotation and aesthetic value,which is an indispensable part of Chinese teaching.However,in our teaching,foreign fictions teaching failed to get a effective teaching result.This article will take foreign novels in high school level as the research object;based on three categories of the style and with the help of the theoretical knowledge of foreign novels,the stylistic features of novel will be explored in the combination with foreign novels,and then teachers' determination on the ideas and methods of the content of high school foreign novels teaching can be sorted out.Style is not just a single concept,instead of a system with three categories including "genre","a register of language","style",as well as its formation.From the category of "genre" in the novel,the plot is one of novel's basic elements,and its narrative method is an important feature which can tell novels from other styles.The choice of content of courses is necessary to focus on the plot,and also the narration should be concerned about.And from the category of "a register of language" in the novel,the language is the carrier of novel,and the analysis on the stylistic features of novel should be based on the language style of novel.From the category of "style" of the novel,the style is the highest presentation form,and the choice of teaching content should pay attention to the characteristics of the times,the writer's style and the characteristics of the works.This paper is divided into three parts: the first part introduces the style of the novel and its relevant knowledge so as to construct the thinking frame of this article.The second part starts from the three appearances of the style and takes foreign novels as the research object.And it aims at exploring the enlightenment of Stylistics to the teaching of foreign novels with the help of the theoretical knowledge based on specific novels.The third part,starting from the high school Chinese curriculum standards and teaching materials,taking Chekhov's "loaded in the cover of the people" as an example,puts the theory into practice and analyzes the case,and thus provides ideas with a reference,theoretical basis and learning paradigm for teachers' teaching and students' study.
