| With the acceleration of urbanization process,the floating population’s settlement willingness and social integration problem have been widely concerned.In this paper,the dynamic monitoring data of the floating population in 2014 and the statistical data of China City Statistical Yearbook in 2014 have been used to discuss the different factors that affect the floating population’s settlement willingness and the different degrees of each factor that affect the willingness in the perspective of urban scale stratification.The paper analyzes the basic education,social security,wages and other factors that affect the willingness of the floating population to settle in the cities based on the different stratification of urban scale.Firstly,this paper studies and reviews the domestic and international literature on urban scale and settlement of the floating population.By using the Push-Pull Theory,and the theory of social integration to analyze the "pull" factors in large cities,mega cities and big cities,as well as the "push and pull" factors in medium cities and small cities.Among them,"pull" is mainly based on the agglomeration effect,which is high income,high employment rate,high quality basic education and perfect social security;"Push" is mainly due to the low income,low employment rate and poor basic education and poor social security in small cities,and the environmental problems,traffic congestion,rising rents and increasing costs of living caused by excessive population in large cities,mega cities and big cities.Secondly,the paper adopts the descriptive analysis and comparative analysis methods to describe the current situation and to analyze the interaction factors that affect the settlement willingness of the floating population in large cities,mega cities,big cities,medium cities and small cities.And the result shows that the current situation and the settlement willingness about individual factors,the flow factors andthe social and economic factors in different urban scale varies greatly.Based on this,binary logistics regression model is established to verify the influence of individual factors,flow range,the degree of regional development,urban scale stratification,basic education,social security and wages on the floating population’s settlement willingness.Through the city scale and the basic education,the city scale and the social security,the city scale and the wages interactive item verified the adjustment effect of elementary education,social security and wages.The study shows that individual factors,urban scale,basic education,social security and wages have a significant impact on the settlement willingness,in which the basic education,social security and wages positively regulate the relationship between the urban scale and the settlement willingness.At last,some policy suggestions are put forward to enhance the settlement willingness of floating population based on the conclusions of this study,such as,the promotion reform of the household registration system,the rational planning of urban scale,the realization of migrant children’ s education fair,the improvement of the social security system,the enhancement of the floating population vocational education and training. |
