The demonstration kindergarten system is used by educational administrations to evaluate and determine demonstration kindergartens and promote the development of other kindergartens through their exemplary roles.The evaluation of demonstration kindergarten has some positive influence on the development of kindergarten education,enhance the child care in preschool education and improve teachers' teaching skills.The non-demonstration kindergartens will also improve slightly due to the demonstration effect of the demonstration kindergartens on education,teaching,research,management,etc.But there are also some negative effects,such as boosting unfairness in education,increasing teachers' work pressure and disturbing the normal order of the children.This paper aims at exploring the advantages and disadvantages of the demonstration kindergarten assessment system,understanding the detailed processes of the assessment work,finding out the impacts of the evaluation system on the demonstration kindergartens,teachers and the general kindergarten and discussing the suitability of the evaluation criteria and process.Based on the analysis of the acceptance standard for Beijing demonstration Kindergarten,the writer interviewed 12 principals and managements in demonstration kindergartens in Beijing,and sent a questionnaire to 80 teachers in demonstration kindergartens.It is found that there are some problems in the implementation of the demonstration kindergarten system,such as unreasonable evaluation criteria,imprudent evaluation process and simplex evaluation methods,negative effects on the teachers,kids and parents,as well as enhanced educational injustice.In order to improve the evaluation system and reduce the negative influence on demonstration kindergartens and others,the following suggestions are proposed: changing the simplex evaluation system,introducing the third-party evaluation institution,improving the evaluation standards and process,supervising the demonstration role demonstration kindergartens play,having a rational view of the demonstration kindergarten assessment work,paying attention to education fairness,etc.
