Historical semantics is an ancient traditional science,which first appeared in the former Qin Dynasty and prevailed in the Han in China.After that,it continued well during the next few years.In fact,it has become a mature and perfect science.The semantics focuses on since Qin Dynasty some classical Chinese words that are hard to comprehend.In a word,historical semantics is about how to comprehend and interprete the ancient classical Chinese words in the ancient documents.So we can say the semantics is a bridge to join the meaning of ancient and modern words together.The foundamental task of semantics is to explain the meaning of words.Only when the meaning of words were figured out,the documents of the ancient literature can be understood better.The Classical Chinese consists of a large amount of solid words with various different uses,so it is important for student to grasp the meanings of solid words to remove the obstacle in understanding the documents.Only in this way,can we comprehend the whole sentence and further the whole passage.Meanwhile,we can arouse the students' interest in classical Chinese literature by means of historical semantics.So that their learning ability can be improved with lots of practice.The first chapter elaborates the content and approaches in semantic science.The shape interpretation is to interpret the meaning of words through analyzing character form,by way of which students can learn the origion of Chinese culture and develop their interest in Chinese.Phonetic exegetics is another way to interpret words,mainly used to deduce the origion of words of languages,explaining the puzzles between alliterative two-syllable terms and phonetic loan character.Explanation of meaning is to analyze and distinguish the meanings of words by reference books,note-books and annotations about antient classical Chinese.The second chapter is to sort about the Classical Chinese annotations existing in the Junior Chinese text-books using the way of shape-exegetics,phonetics and meaning interpretation.The study will show you the comparison made in three aspects:text-booknotes,annotation in the original texts and different versions.I manage to do research and clarify the accurate explanation to give students a correct instruction to make up for the inadequaence in Classical Chinese annotation.The third chapter is about how to serve the junior classical Chinese teaching by means of theory of semantics.We try to cornect the semantics science with text-books to cope with the problems arising in the teaching based on theory and practical principles.Generally speaking,Semantics is a subject with advanced theory.It is also based on practice because it put great emphasis on the connection between theory and practice.It accumulates abundant examples and cases through which we may understand ancient languages accurately by language practice,great progress will be made in junior Chinese teaching.
