With the development of new curriculum reform,people's awareness of cultivating students' Humanistic Competences is also increasing.History subject bears the brunt,especially with the idea of cultivating of students' Key Competences mentioned in recent years.There have been many scholars who have specifically elaborated it,but it is not universal because of different regions' characteristics.This paper will closely study the local situation of high school in Xunwu county of Jiangxi province to make a research between the students and history teacher and have an analysis of their humanities literacy and reasons behind it.Finally,with the combination of the new curriculum's concept,corresponding strategies will be made to have a better guidance for the future history teaching practice.The paper is divided into five parts.The first part is the introduction,which mainly elaborates the background of the topic,the significance of the research,the research status quo at home and abroad and the research approaches and innovative ideas.The second part is an overview of Humanistic Competences,including its concept and the necessity of Humanistic Competences cultivation in high school.The third part focuses on the current situation and reasons of Humanistic Competences in local high school history teaching,and then summarizes the reasons for their lack of Humanistic Competences.The fourth is the main part of this paper,which mainly focuses on the principles and strategies of cultivating Humanistic Competences in history teaching in high school.Before illu strating the principles and strategies,the characteristic of history teaching in high school is expounded.After the new curriculum reform,student-oriented initiative with the guidance of teachers is emphasized,on which basis the principles of cultivation are elaborated.The cultivating strategies include the perspectives of schools,teachers and students: firstly,schools should create humanistic campus culture and change teaching appraisal ways;secondly,since the cultivation of students' Humanistic Competences relies upon history.
