Classroom practice is one of the most important parts in the process of English classroom teaching.It can help teachers know promptly about students’ mastery of knowledge they have newly learned,adjust the English teaching progress,teaching contents,teaching methods,etc.and enhance teachers’ teaching ability.For students,it can help them consolidate what they have newly learned in time,deep their understanding of new knowledge,and improve their comprehensive language using ability and English literacy.However,there are still some problems existing in the junior middle school English classroom practice.After reviewing some related researches on classroom practice,the writer found so far the researches about English classroom practice are mainly concentrated on the description of teachers’ teaching experience,but the systematical research is rather insufficient.Therefore,in order to have a thorough understanding of current situation and existing problems of junior middle school English classroom practice,the thesis aims to do some research on it from the following six aspects: students’ attitudes toward English classroom practice,the content,the form,the time,the guidance,and the evaluation of classroom practice.This research is based on constructive theory and multiple intelligence theory.Firstly,the writer collected information by literature method.After surveying 550 middle school students from four different schools by sending questionnaires and interviewing twelve English teachers and students respectively,the writer analyzed the current situation,problems and causes on the basis of questionnaires and interview results.Then the writer put forward some measures to improve these problems according to the related theories and teaching facts.This paper includes six parts.The first part contains problem posing,research significance,researches at home and abroad,the theoretical basis and conception of related nouns.The second part is the research methods.The third part is the results ofthe survey and analysis,which includes questionnaire results and interview results.The forth part describes the current situation and problems of junior middle school English classroom practice on the basis of the survey outcome and analyzes the causes in detail.The fifth part is the measures to solve problems in the junior middle school English classroom practice.The sixth part is the conclusion part,which includes the value and reflection of this research.
