Research Of Indigenization Of Social Work

Since the sixth Plenary Session of the 16th proposed to establish a great social worker team,social work develops rapidly.The expansion of colleges and universities add the majority of social work,more and more schools set the master degree education of social work,social work has gradually become an important tool for the government to promote social governance.We should not just foucs on the rapid development of social work,we also have to face the problem that arise with the development,such as social work depends heavily on the government,low social identity,the unprofessional service and so on.All these problems are related to the fact that the development of the modern social work is in western countries,the problem comes down to the indigenization of social work.The indigenization of social work has been paid a lot attention by the academic circles since it was introduced into our country,but how to make it better is still a problem.Jiangsu province currently has ranked second in the number of social worker,and actively promote the development of the majority.Since the beginning of 2014,NanJing began the project called "general social workers" as a local mode of exploration,after two years,NanJing has more than 600 general social workers provide the front-line service in communities and streets.This research based on the case of "general social worker"in NanJing as an example,uses the way of literature research,interviews and participate observation to fully understand the project with background,actual operation and operation effect.After analysing and thinking on its development process,we can give some advices on the indigenization of social work.Through this research,the "general social worker" project exists several problems:rely mainly on government administrative power,a single source of funds,the role of social worker is still relatively elusive.These problems are also common in the process of the indigenization of social work and hard to find a good solution,our own development of social work can not further enhance the bottleneck.To solve these problems,this paper gives suggestions from two main aspects,one is the cultural basis of the reconstruction of social work in China,based on the correct understanding of western theory,the "relationship","family culture" and other cultural concepts need to be added to the indigenization of social work;The second is from the relationship between social work agencies and government,the relationship between knowledge and practice of social work,and the expansion of social work services.Using this three points to promot the reform and innovation of China's social work system in order to provide some reference for the future research on the localization of social work.
