The Exploration Of School-based Teaching Materials Development And Utilization On History And Culture Of Xanadu

A new round basic education curriculum reform demands definitely to implement three-level curriculum management system of national curriculum,local curriculum and school-based curriculum,which makes curriculum development great practical significance.More and more schools and areas begin to pay attention to curriculum development.School-based teaching material is a core and an important part of implementation of school-based curriculum.This paper is based on History and Culture of Xanadu,taking Xilin Gol League,Inner Mongolia for example and trying to discuss how to combine local historical resources with new history curriculum reform in senior middle school on school-based teaching material development and utilization.The current studying situation of school-based curriculum is quite clear.The concept of it is various,but the basic direction is concordant.School-based curriculum development is that the place of development is school,the principal parts are headmasters,teachers,parents,community works,etc.The content is to design the school-based curriculum that suits students' development and presents the educational philosophy of a school,based on the local special resources.So far,the theoretical studies and practices of our country is in initial stage.All areas don't pay enough attention to the school-based curriculum development,so it has a long way to go.Compilation and implementation of school-based teaching materials are important to the school-based curriculum development,and they are the key impacts on implementing a curriculum successfully.The significance of the school-based teaching materials development on the history and culture of Xanadu is tremendous.Xilin Gol League,Inner Mongolia is located in the north of China.There are abundant ethnical historical and cultural resources,and the most representative is Xanadu.It was the early political center where Kublai established the political power of Yuan dynasty.The politics,economy,culture of Xanadu were well-developed in Yuan dynasty.Later on,Xanadu became the summer capital during the Yuan dynasty.Therefore,significance of selecting Xanadu as school-based teaching materials is profound: School-based teaching materials development can help promote students' development in an all-around way,and motivate students' enthusiasm for learning history,can help cultivate moral sentiments of loving motherland and homeland,can help promote the development of teachers' professional abilities,can also help disseminate the history and culture of Xanadu.The writing principles that school-based teaching materials development should be followed.School-based teaching materials development on history and culture of Xanadu which are based on these principles are more scientific and practical.The content comes from the politics,economy,culture and education of Xanadu.They allow students have a deep knowledge of Xanadu and cultivate students' moral sentiments.School-based teaching materials on history and culture of Xanadu,including designing two teaching cases which is based on the historical situation of Xanadu and the Zha ma banquet,Mare's milk banquet in history and culture of Yuan dynasty,and a comprehensive practice case that centers around visiting the Historical Museum of Xanadu.During the process of the compilation and utilization,I analyzed detailedly some problems that will possibly happen and provided some solutions so that School-based teaching materials on history and culture of Xanadu can be improved in the teaching practice.The theoretical research and practice of school-based curriculum started relatively late in China.But under the efforts of educators in our country,the research and practice of school-based curriculum have gained remarkable achievements.School-based teaching materials on history and culture of Xanadu is a systematized and creative process,it still needs more improvements.
