The current source of students in the secondary vocational schools mainly consists of two parts: students failed to enter high schools and students did not complete their middle schools,with the former covering the majority.Most of the students in today’s secondary vocational schools are lack of the fundamental knowledge of computer,and some who have learn a few find it hard to apply the knowledge.Thus,with the fact that different students are in different current levels,the teachers have difficulties in giving every different student a proper guidance only on the same teaching class.Besides of this,some students bear severe self-abasement,lacking of patience and self-control,resulting in the short of ambitiousness.All these conditions have put obstacles in the computer courses in the secondary vocational schools.This thesis aims at improving the teaching quality of computer courses in the secondary vocational schools.The application of group cooperation learning strategy is explored,with the methods of literature investigation,behavior observation,and statistical analysis,etc.The research is based on the education theory of learning and teaching,with the action-research paradigm,and based on the realistic conditions of the school the author serves.The thesis is divided into five chapters:In chapter one,research background and current situation of group cooperative learning strategy are depicted.The significance of this research is analyzed.The goal,contents,and methods of the research are clarified.The whole structure of the thesis is introduced.In chapter two,the meaning of group cooperative learning strategy is clarified.The significance and teaching value of this strategy are discussed.In chapter three,the properties of fundamental computer courses in secondary vocational schools are analyzed.The feasibility of applying the strategy into Inner Mongolia Economic and Trade School is discussed.In chapter four,the method of setting the experimental class and the controlled class is illustrated.The plan of teaching,the method of gathering experimental data,and the result of statistical inference of experimental data is demonstrated.The basic conclusion of the research is then made.The research has found that the application of the group cooperative learning strategy stimulates emotional interaction between the students.Most of the students improved in grades by mutual assistance in group learning.The difficulty for one teacher to equally guide every student in traditional teaching classes is well solved.The research has also found that the strategy improves the classroom atmosphere,and promotes the psychological quality of the students.The students participated equally in this form of learning,with a higher degree of involvement.The strategy is capable of motivating every student’s enthusiasm and initiative,resulting in greater confidence in learning,which is beneficial for the accomplishment of the educational reform in the secondary vocational schools.In chapter five,the insufficient of the research and the way of improving teaching quality hereafter are discussed.
