According to "compulsory education chemistry curriculum standards" which was revised in 2011,teachers are required to pay attention to students' emotions and learning attitude during the teaching process.Teachers should encourage and strength the learning interest of the students and help them building confidence in learning chemistry.As the saying goes,interest is the best teacher,interest will improve the enthusiasm of students and learning motivation,so in the chemical teaching process,Teachers need to develop students' learning interest in chemistry.Under the guidance of the relevant theory of interest and motivation,the author investigates and analyzes the following by interviewing teachers and underachievers,interviewing teachers and underachievers,and observing classroom records:(1)What is the interest of underachievers in chemistry?(2)What are the influencing factors of chemistry interest in underachievers?(3)How to cultivate and motivate underachievers interested in chemistry?The survey results indicate that the learning interest of student show a decreasing trend.There are many factors that impress their interests in learning,such as the attitudes of students' towards learning,the teaching philosophy of chemistry teachers and the charisma of personality,the methods of teaching,the difficulty coefficient of chemistry textbooks and the learning environment.Through the survey,the author has found that the following methods could cultivate students' interest in learning chemistry.In terms of teachers: It is necessary to establish a good and favorable relationship with the underachievers;The establishment of students' self-confidence to enable them to enjoy the process of chemical learning;Change the concept of education and adopt different types of teaching methods;In the classroom design all of different types of chemical activities,games,experiments and other educational resources.In the view of the students themselves: To have confidence in learning chemistry;Try to be a proactive learner;Have a clear learning goal;To develop a good learning plan for themselves and stick to the implementation;To study with the students who are good at studying to do the same way to improve their sense of accomplishment.This paper is composed of five parts.The first part is the preface,which discusses the background of the study work of the students' learning interest is to study the background of student interest,as well as the objectives and structure of this study.The second part is the literature review of this study.It is mainly to provide some relevant research and theory about underachievers,interest and motivation,interest in chemistry learning.The third part is the most important part of this thesis-research design,which includes research questions,research objects,research methods and research procedures.The fourth part describes the research results and analysis.The last part mainly proposes the conclusion of this paper,and points out the limitations of this study and gives some feasible suggestions at the same time.
