With the progress and development of economy,higher education has entered a new period of reform because of college enrollment expansion and a series of measures.Master graduate students,especially the initial set up academic master's graduate students,are facing the problems such as the devaluation of degree,employment difficulties,training quality decline.There are three major factors cause these problems:society,school and students.With the factors mutual crisscrossing,some contradictions need to be reconciled,such as the education training a not suitable for economic development,school development indicators not adapt the student actual demand,and the deviation of academic guidance and employment guidance.Thus,various problems led to the identity dilemma of academic graduate student.To solve the core problem of "the present situation of the academic graduate student identity",this study has selected the academic graduate students of E university as the research object.Having applied the method of "literature,interviews and open questionnaires-questionnaire of the academic graduate student identity-data acquisition and analysis".Combining qualitative and quantitative research,questionnaire data analysis and interviews with observation,grounded theory with empirical research method,this study has mufti-dimensionally analyzed the current condition of the contemporary academic graduate student identity,adopts the mode of combination of questionnaire and interview survey,through the academic graduate student research study,work and life,from three dimension such as cognition,emotion,behavior.The study aims to find out the performance of academic graduate student identity dilemma,and analyze its causes,then to propose some suggestions for the cultivation of the postgraduate.The results showed that the current academic graduate students identity dilemma has produced.Its performance in cognitive is not clear about their identity,inner perception in academic status and terrible methods of action about academic research."The separation between cognition and practice" about academic identity has become one of academic graduate student identity dilemma,another one is the conflict between academic guidance and employment guidance.And the dilemma is a group phenomenon,the group is varied from students who are afraid of being left behind and the ones who pay attention to the diploma rather than academic studies.The produce of the dilemma is related to many subjects,such as academic graduate student themselves,colleges and universities,supervisors,and society.First of all,academic graduate students who under the weak consciousness of elite have utility graduate motivation and inadequate academic character during the period of graduate.Then with the tendency of inflation of credentialism,the school graduate student education system become more disorderly.What's more,the originally rigorous tutorial system has been also gradually collapsing.The interaction of several kinds of power leads to the realistic dilemma about" the separation between cognition and practice" of academic identity and the conflict between academic guidance and employment guidance.To solve the dilemma needs efforts of individuals,schools and government.First of all,students need to form a correct understanding of themselves,pay more attention to their academic studies.Secondly,collages ought to pay more attention to implement the plan of academic master's cultivation,ensure the quality of graduate education.Thirdly,to provide institutional guarantee,the government also should formulate and implement relevant policies and regulations.
