With the increasingly close relations between China and Thailand,Thai pay more and more attention to Chinese language education.Thai schools began to offer Chinese language course successively and a growing number of Chinese volunteer teachers are sent or invited to engage in Chinese teaching in Thailand.As one of the 15 th Chinese volunteer teachers,the author was engaged in Chinese teaching in Nakorn Khon Kaen school,Khon Kaen,Northeast of Thailand from May 2016 to March 2017.After ten months' teaching practice in Thailand,the author found that Thai students' Chinese foundation is rather weak.Besides most of Thai students have fear in Chinese learning and they lack of learning initiative excessively.Furthermore,the knowledge students learnt in class can not be corrected used in the real language environment.Under this non-target language environment,students can not have a good knowledge of the target language,which makes students face more difficulties in the process of Chinese learning.How to design the Chinese class teaching with appropriate methods to meet the needs of Chinese learners in this non-target language environment and make the classroom play its effectiveness is a question worthy of deep consideration especially for teachers who teach Chinese to foreigners.According to the the designing theories,principles and methods of teaching Chinese as a foreign language,the author sets senior students of Nakorn Khon Kaen School as the teaching object and presents a complete and detailed teaching design of Five Bananas,which is selected from the material called Experience Chinese published in 2010 by higher education press.Based on the author's teaching experience and summaries of teaching practice results in Thailand,this teaching design aims to solve the current problems existing in Chinese teaching classroom,optimize Chinese teaching and improve Chinese teaching efficiency.At the same time,the author hopes this teaching design can provide teaching references for Chinese teachers who use the same teaching material in Thailand.This paper mainly consists of four parts:The first chapter mainly introduces the background,significance,status and scheme of the research.The second chapter mainly explains the teaching design theoretical basis and the teaching principles of primary Chinese comprehensive course.The third chapter is the core part of this thesis,the author describes the current Chinese teaching situation from the Chinese teaching environment,Chinese teachers,Chinese learners and Chinese textbooks of Nakorn Khon Kaen School and intensively discusses the lesson Five Bananas from teaching goal,teaching content,teaching difficulties.Combined with the Thai students' learning characteristics,the author presents the overall teaching design and the concrete implementation process.The fourth chapter is the teaching design evaluation for the elementary Chinese comprehensive lesson Five Bananas.From the students' exercise results in class and the teacher's reflections on this lesson,the author evaluates the effects of this teaching design after implementation.Based on the teaching practice and feedback,the author briefly and objectively summarizes the achievements and deficiencies of this study.
