With theelevation of China's international status,there is a tendency that people around the world begin to learn Chinese.Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language(TCFL)has been more and more popular.Meanwhile,there are also some challenges.For example,the theoretical system of TCFL is not perfect,there isa few methods about the character which is the element of Chinese language,at the same time,the awareness of cross-cultural is lacked.However,under the efforts of many foreign language educators,TCFL makes big progress.For example,the theoretical system is improving constantlywith the guidance of practice,and there are more and more books aboutTCFL.The study of intercultural communication is deepening as well.There is no doubt that teaching Chinese as a foreign language makes great progress,while there are some shortcomings of the designs of TCFL.For example,the research of teaching designs which is related to the comprehensive Chinese course has not formed a complete system yet and the study of Chinese teaching designsin Thailand is not profoundyet.Therefore,according to the teaching experience in Thailand,the author did some researches about the designs of TCFL,so thatthey can do a favor to the development of TCFL.In this paper,the teaching object is the high school students in Thailandwho have learned Chinese for one year andreached to the primary level.We take Lesson eight Health as the main content which is selected from the bookExperiencing Chinese II.What's more,the paper based on the teaching practice,using a variety of teaching methods,combines the learning theories so as to provide some references to other Chinese teachers.The paper is totally divided intofive parts.The first part is the introduction,which mainly elaborates the present situation of teaching design,and the purpose and significance of the research.It also contains the relevant research methods.The second part introduces the theoretical basis and the teaching principles of TCFL.On the basis of demand,the paper mainly refers to three learning theories,including the behavioral learning theory,the cognitive learning theory and the deconstructionism learning theory.Meanwhile,this part also focuses on four teaching principles,such as the principle of communication,the principle of integrity,the principle of purpose and the principle of relevance.The third part combinesthe theoretical system with the teaching practice,analyzing the main elements of teaching designs,such as the teaching situation,the teaching object,the teachinggoal,the teaching content,the teaching difficulty,the arrangement of the lesson,the teaching methods and the teaching media.The fourth part based on the third part,briefly introduces the whole idea of teaching design,and sets upthe specific teaching plan.The lessonHealthdivided into three classes,and each class has the teaching steps as following: warming-up,new words learning,text learning,exercises,and homework.Besides,by observing the students' performance and checking the homework,the author makes a specific summaries.The fifth part summaries processes and results of the research,reflecting the most important things in the paper.This part briefly reflects if the purpose and significance of the paper is achieved and what aspects can be studied further in the the future research.
