Predicament And Countermeasures Of Education Financing Of Local Colleges And Universities

As China continues to accelerate the pace of popularization of higher education, the scale of local colleges and universities is expanding continuously which makes more people access to higher education, but the increasingly number of students and people’s demand for higher education result in that the local universities and colleges are faced with the shortage of education funds, which has been difficult to meet the needs of the current development of colleges and universities.Adequate education funds support is the necessary requirement for guaranteeing the daily operation and improvement of education quality of local colleges and universities, which as he main force to promote the development of higher education in China. Therefore, the study of education financing of local colleges and universities in China has a positive and far-reaching significance to alleviate pressure on local schools and universities, to promote the healthy and sustainable development of the local colleges and universities and even of the national higher education.Based on the above background, this paper is aimed at analyzing the current situation and predicament of education financing in local colleges and universities,which is based on the relevant data on education funding sources of local colleges and universities. Secondly, analyzing economic factors and non-economic factors of education financing of local universities and colleges, based on knowing the current situation. Finally, proposing more targeted countermeasures to improve the education financing of local colleges and universities by combing with the overall research of national local colleges and universities and empirical research c of H university in Hunan province, in order to get rid of the plight of lack of funding for higher education.
