| It has been 30 years since the teaching evaluation in colleges and universities in China was implemented. Although it has made a great progress, there still exist some problems and shortcomings in the implementation process and it needs to be improved further. During the 30 years, the six forms of China’s higher education can be divided into three stages, namely the pilot stage, the all-sided implementation stage, the gradual perfecting stage. Firstly, the development process of the teaching evaluation in colleges and universities in China is analyzed according to these three stages. Secondly, the background, purpose, content and effect of each stage are analyzed. Lastly, by summing up the experiences and lessons from the teaching evaluation in Colleges and universities in China in the past 30 years, and learning the excellent experiences from universities in foreign countries, some suggestions are put forward for the reform of the teaching evaluation in colleges and universities in China in the future. |
