Targeting the phenomena that traditional teaching may ignore students'actual situation, this paper proposes a math teaching strategy based on the concept of "Teaching in light of Learning". As is implied, it decides what to teach according to what has been learnt by the students. This paper will define the concept of "teaching in light of learning" as follows:regarding students'development as fundamental; deciding teaching content, teaching methods, teaching procedures, according to students'actual performance. Specifically, math teaching should be designed according to students' knowledge. capability, cognition, as well as making adjustments according to students'classroom performance, in terms of choosing flexible teaching content and methods.By using the methods of literature research, case analyses, questionnaires and interview, this paper organizes and analyzes the literature of the past 10 years and establishes the research framework. Targeting how to effectively implement the concept of "Teaching in light of Learning", the author puts forward some math teaching principles based on this concept, and proposes the strategy of "Teaching in light of Learning" with regards to two teaching modes:"unity of teaching and learning" and "learning before teaching", which will provide some reference for math teachers and enrich the theory of math teaching strategies.
