Aesthetic education is an important aspect of quality education.Music education is an important content anpled a way to imment aesthetic education.Music education plays a very important role in developing students' aesthetic consciousness,promoting the healthy development of personality and physical and mental health,and improving the humanistic quality.In recent years,with the rapid development of the national economy,people's demand for spiritual level is also growing rapidly,and social music education is developing rapidly,so primary and middle school students into training institutions to study music in our country,especially in some economically developed areas are very common.This has played a better complementary role in the school music education.Yantai city is one of the first batch of open coastal cities in fourteen in China.The social music education in this city is developing rapidly,and there are various types of music education and training institutions.But at the same time of vigorous development,there are also occurred some issues.It has a very important practical significance for realizing these problems and guiding the development of social music education more normative and rational.This paper briefly described the present situation of social music education at home and abroad,and also described the scope,object,content,purpose and research methods of the social music education.This paper discussed the concept of social music education and its special value,and the relationship of social music education,school music education and family music education.This paper clarified the cultural background of social music education in Zhifu district of Yantai,and surveyed the overall scale of the social music education and training institutions for primary and middle school in Zhifu.We investigated some social music education and training institutions in Zhifu with the methods of questionnaires,interviews,observation,literature analysis.We got some data about the learning situation of primary and middle school students,the basic conditions of teachers,parent and student family basic information in the social music education and training institutions.And also understood the school mission,management system,curriculum setting,operation mode,teaching place,development plan of the social music education and traininginstitutions in Zhifu.According to the research data and the interview analysis,this paper summed up the experience of social music education in Zhifu,and also found some problems about social music education for primary and middle school students,such as the absence of local policies and regulations,poor government regulation,the training institutions themselves lack of standardized management,lack of qualification certification of institutions and teachers,single operating mode and other issues.Then this paper put forward the corresponding countermeasures,and showed my personal opinion of establishing and perfecting the social music education laws and regulations,strengthening the construction and management ability of music education and training institutions,how to combine with the local school music education,how to integrate social music education and the primary and secondary school students' artistic quality evaluation being waged in Yantai.
