In the heavy learning pressure and severe employment pressure, how to cultivate the humanistic connotation and artistic accomplishment in higher vocational colleges, and have a solid professional knowledge and skilled occupation skill talents, we need every occupation educational workers. This article takes the basic situation of music education in Higher Vocational Colleges as the starting point, with the aim of vocational education personnel training, try to cultivate and improve the basic professional quality and vocational skills of vocational students through music education. The theoretical system of music is unique, rich in content and wide in content. To promote the development of higher vocational college students, personality education in music teaching to cultivate their strong personality, mental health, personality, affect mood, alleviate the pressure of employment, learning, cultivate the rigorous scientific attitude, good aesthetic ability, perception ability, thinking ability,interpersonal skills, and team spirit, morality, patriotism spirit, and proficiency standard practice skills, let students acquire the basic skills and methods to adapt to lifelong learning,to realize the sustainable development of human occupation.Taking Shaanxi Industrial Vocational College as an example, combined with the training objectives of higher occupation education talents, to the present situation of the music education of the school as the starting point, through the course of music education of the school teachers and students learning attitude, course preferences and not the reason,curriculum practice, curriculum setting, harvest, and preparation of music education curriculum in schools the use of music teaching and music teachers and music curriculum resources construction project comprehensive interview and questionnaire, comprehensively reflect and display the status of music education in the school to carry out an objective understanding of the music education and vocational college students and practical needs,then through the comparative analysis of survey, around the effect of music education on non occupation skill training in music, respectively for the students art group of students andordinary students The basic quality, and the school of fashion design and technology,automotive marketing and service of 8 main professional 45 courses in the elective music course and elective music course of students’ professional courses are analyzed, and the analysis found that the music education influences students non music occupation skill training in Higher Vocational through intuitive data. Finally, the combination of personal thinking and music education at home and abroad and the advanced experience of vocational education, put forward two conclusions: first, music education for vocational students should have the basic quality of the training has a significant effect.
