With the increasing demand for high-quality preschool teachers in the society,the state has issued relevant documents such as " Preschool Teachers ’ Professional Competence Standards(Trial)" and " Preschool Teachers ’ Professional Competence Standards(Trial)." As one of the main positions for training preschool teachers,the construction quality of higher vocational colleges is related to the overall quality of kindergarten teachers in China.However,the professional ability quality of preschool education students in higher vocational colleges fails to meet the talent demand of preschool education industry,and there are still many deficiencies in the training process.Therefore,how to effectively carry out professional ability training for preschool education students in higher vocational colleges is extremely important.This study uses literature research method,text analysis method,questionnaire method and interview method to investigate the demand of preschool education industry for preschool teachers ’ professional ability,and selects three higher vocational colleges in Jilin Province to investigate the current situation of preschool education students ’ professional ability and training process,aiming to fully understand the current situation of preschool education students’ professional ability training in higher vocational colleges in Jilin Province.Then it discusses the problems and causes in the training process,and puts forward corresponding strategies to provide reference for the cultivation of professional ability of preschool education students in higher vocational colleges.The survey found that higher vocational colleges in Jilin Province have put forward specific requirements for the cultivation of students ’ professional ability in terms of the training objectives and specifications,curriculum setting,and graduation requirements of preschool education professionals,but there are some problems in the training process :(1)The expression of professional ability training objectives is vague and lacks operability;(2)In the implementation of vocational ability training,the integration of theoretical learning and practice is not enough,that is,teaching activities lack practical training,and off-campus internships lack practical opportunities.(3)Teachers ’ teaching level fails to meet the needs of students ’ professional ability training,that is,teachers ’ teaching methods lack innovation and professional ability training practice lacks teacher guidance.(4)The quality of vocational ability training fails to meet the needs of the preschool education industry,that is,students are not skilled in childcare skills,lack of emergency response capabilities,lack of active home collaboration and communication,lack of problem solving skills and career planning skills.In view of the existing problems in the training process,the main reasons are :(1)the formulation of professional talent training programs is not standardized;(2)Teaching implementation training environment is not sufficient;(3)Teachers ’ teaching level needs to be strengthened;(4)The talent training quality evaluation system is not perfect.In this regard,this paper puts forward some countermeasures to improve the professional ability training of preschool education students in higher vocational colleges :(1)To formulate the talent training goal with professional ability as the core;(2)Construction of preschool education professional systematic practice teaching system,including classroom teaching,the second classroom activities,off-campus practice,scientific research practice four aspects;(3)Improve the professional ability training guarantee system of preschool education major,including strengthening the construction of practice and training base of preschool education major inside and outside the school,establishing the ’ double tutor ’ collaborative education mechanism of preschool education major,improving the teaching level of preschool education teachers,and paying attention to the guidance of students ’ career planning;(4)Establish an output-oriented vocational ability evaluation mechanism,that is,based on the concept of output-oriented education,construct a vocational ability evaluation mechanism from both internal and external aspects of higher vocational colleges.The thinking and suggestions provided in this study are intended to contribute to improving the quality of vocational ability training of preschool education majors in higher vocational colleges in Jilin Province.
