| Nowadays,with network running up in a high speed,microblog has been an inseparable part of people’s life,which characterizes faster information dissemination and more shocking and powerful dissemination contents.University students,the main force of new media,are the most active and possess the strongest ability of accepting new things.They almost use microblog all the time.As one of the representatives of new media,microblog becomes very popular,which enriches the connotation of their values,extends their interpersonal interaction space and enhances the influences between the groups of university students.During the process of using microblog,they also show the corresponding media literacy.For every hot issue,unversity students are the direct participants in microblog.On the one hand,microblog enables the interpersonal communication of university students more smooth and exerts positive influences on their comprehensive healthy development.They can get needed information in time and gain a platform to show their personalities.On the other hand,microblog is filled with a lot of unverified information and the contents of information will be expanded infinitely during the dissemination process.University students are still in the stage of changing and rebuilding their values with limited critical and cognitive ability of media information,so the good or bad information will both have a hugeeffect on their thoughts and values.Therefore,it is imperative to improve university students’ media literacy.This thesis firstly interprets the concept of media literacy and organizes its development.Based on this effort and combined with the characteristics of microblog,it develops the connotation of media literacy.Then,through a survey of 500 students in Inner Mongolia University for Nationalities from the aspects of cognitive comprehension,analytic judgment,participation in use and self-management,it turns out that the students of Inner Mongolia University for Nationalities can operate and use microblog well but they are lack of the will to voluntarily communicate and the consciousness of self-protection.In the face of a large amount of complicated information,they have their own views on the choice of information,but they often can not identify whether it is true or false and they overly depend on the microblog.According to these problems,this thesis finds out the reasons,that is,the characteristics of microblog,the educational factors of universities and individual factors of university students.And it puts forward some suggestions so as to guide the university students to correctly contact with media,master the ability of using media,improve the critical ability of media and enhance their media literacy.These suggestions includes emphasizing on moral training,establishing the correct values,the mass media’s creating a good external environment,setting up the relevant courses,combining theory with practice and perfecting the relevant laws. |
